Queen Anne’s Loft, one of my honorable mentions of wedding venues in Newport, RI, was the chosen venue for Kelicia and Darius’s micro-wedding ceremony. After decades of knowing one another and a year of dating, Kelicia and Darius decided to get married despite COVID-19’s crazy shutdown of 2020. Queen Anne’s Loft was the perfect venue for a beautiful wedding in Newport.
The venue’s small but bright and airy banquet room made photographing in the space a breeze. With just 10 people in attendance, the couple, 4 guests, and 4 vendors, their ceremony met state guidelines for indoor gatherings. Thanks to the power of technology, over 40 family members and friends joined the couple via zoom. They were able to participate in their wedding day. Kelicia’s father gave Darius his blessing, and her sister shared the maid-of-honor toast during the reception.
Amanda Roderick, Owner and Event’s Coordinator of the venue, was on hand throughout the morning to ensure that Kelicia and Darius’ micro-wedding ceremony went off without a hitch and stayed within the 3-hour time limit. It was a beautiful day. This is why Queen Anne’s Loft is one of my honorable mentions for Newport Wedding Venues.
Do you have a micro-wedding/elopement planned? I’d love to hear about what you have planned!
