Hello there reader,
Are you living your best summer life? I know I certainly am! Every chance I get, I’m laying out on the deck with a book and some wine enjoying the fruits of my husband’s green thumb. My whole deck is an edible oasis. I’m going to have to show you what I enjoy on the regular in another post.
This weekend I worked as a second shooter for two phenomenal photographers and met some great vendors while I was at it. Sunday, 6/23, I worked for myself though and finally got to meet Andrew and Megan who hired me waaaay back in April for a tulip mini-session that never came to fruition. After several rescheduled sessions, we finally met up at a place I’d never been before and it was a fun experience!
A Sunny Engagement Session I photographed in Hartford, CT.
Andrew reached out to me in April to take advantage of the Tulip Mini-Sessions that I offered. Now, avid followers of my blog and social feeds know that this year’s tulip season was one for the records. It was short, rainy and muddy. Given Mother Nature’s temperamental disposition, I was never able to meet up with this couple at the farm. So we rescheduled for the Lavender Fields in Killingsworth CT. I’d been dying to go there for a while and it seemed like Kismet that Andrew suggested it. A rendezvous at that location was not in the cards however because the fields were rained out and all photo sessions cancelled for the season. Which is how we ended up at the Rose Park in Hartford CT, one of the most beautiful locations I’ve ever been to. There were so many beautiful nooks and crannies; I didn’t know where to look. Thankfully, these two were game for anything I threw at them.
